M/Y Polar Star 62m expedition yacht by Lürssen Yachts

The 208.01ft custom Motor yacht ‘Polar Star’ was built by Lurssen in Germany at their Rendsburg shipyard , she was delivered to her owner in 2005 and last refitted in 2016. Previously named Northern Star, her luxurious interior was designed by FM – Architettura di Interni.

ACCOMMODATION
Polar Star’s interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests overnight in 5 cabins, comprising a master suite, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard in 9 cabins to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

CONSTRUCTION & DIMENSIONS
Polar Star features a displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠100A1 SSC Yacht mono G6 (P) Ice Class 1D @ LMC-UMS classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.

Motor yacht Polar Star is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system which reduces roll motion effect and results in a smoother more enjoyable cruising experience underway.

PERFORMANCE
Powered by 2 Caterpillar (3512B DITA SWAC) 1,957hp diesel engines and propelled by her twin screw propellers Motor yacht Polar Star is capable of a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 190,000 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 7,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her water tanks store around 39,300 litres of fresh water.
