5. ACCOMMODATION

There aren’t many super yachts like the Claudius representing the spirit of the age

any better:

The owner’s refuge, completely separated from the guest area, allows for the

highest possible degree of privacy on the upper deck, even on longer trips but, if

desired, he can be entirely at his guests’ disposal: On these occasions the focus

will be on the large pantry in the guest area with professional features that would

bring honour even to premium starred restaurants and

where not only the chef but the owner himself as well as his guests could lend a

hand with if desired. Front cooking as a maritime yachting experience is supposed

to strengthen the community spirit based on the well-known wisdom that the best

place is always where the meals are being prepared.

The 42-meter yacht, built at the Horizon wharf in Taiwan, is propelled by two

forceful MTU diesel engines with 1,370 HP each, obtaining their power from five

diesel tanks spread over the vessel with a total volume of 40,000 litres. Stabilisers

equalise nearly every wave, even in rough sea and, due to a “zero speed” setting,

ensure smooth berthing at anchor or at the landing stage and additionally fostered

by the ship’s weight of 270 tons.

FLYBRIDGE

The large and well-appointed fly bridge presents itself with its fully operational and

completely instrumented control centre. The exclusive bar ensures cool drinks at

the helm while the seating area for 8 or 12 persons, respectively, provides casual

comfort. Fridge, icemaker, dishwasher, barbeque and TV, whirlpool with shower,

sun beds and four sun blinds and two hydraulic awnings make sure the

passengers on the fly bridge are well looked after.

UPPER DECK/OWNER´S DECK

The crucial point, of course, is the owner’s area. A large sun deck with high-quality

and, at the same time, comfortable seating furniture and sun beds as well as a

barbecue positively invite to stay in the open. Via a flat screen TV the owner will

be provided either with entertainment or information as he chooses. Nevertheless,

anybody looking for the way into the air-conditioned

owner’s lounge, leaves a fully automatic door behind in order to have a drink at the

well-equipped bar at the lounge or to rest on the cosy couch area. On cooler days,

a floor heating system ensures a comfortable temperature being supported by an

open, electrical chimney. The bed chambers are accessible via a walk-in closet.

The comfortable double bed is framed by finest designer furniture. A French

balcony as well as a luxurious owner’s bathroom including a Jacuzzi complete the

owner’s suite.

A small but mighty office separates the owner’s area from the main control centre.

The yacht’s control in the marina is done either via small control centres portside

or starboard or via a mobile remote control, respectively. This way, the main drives

and the hydraulic bow and stern lateral thrusters are being operated.

It’s more sporting on the forecastle. Here, jet skis or other accessories are waiting

for volunteers in order to be put into the sea with a crane. Should the equipment

not be used any longer it will be stored in the large-dimensioned bow garage.

Idleness will be guaranteed on the foredeck with its seating area. Only a few

movements and it may be converted into a sun bed.

MAIN DECK

Either party zone or guest area, the main deck, and especially its rear part with a

seating area for 10 persons, a barbecue, stove, fridge, sink, icemaker and the

obligatory TV as well as an exterior toilet with shower offer unlimited possibilities

for an exciting, diversified life on board. Two spacey exits to the swimming

platform, a storage room for additional leisure time equipment as well as a

compressor chamber for the diving equipment perfect the experience of staying on

the super yacht. The lounge with its 70 sqm offers more than enough space for 10

persons.

Crossing a passageway equipped with wine coolers for about 120 bottles, you

reach the aforementioned pantry and guest area.

One of the two guest cabins of the main deck is accessibly designed for disabled

people and disposes of the same luxury as the 30 sq m large VIP cabin located at

the fore ship.

LOWER DECK

The lower deck, exclusively reserved for the crew, is accessible from the

swimming platform and offers space for five crew members in three self-contained

cabins, each of them with its own bathroom and toilet. This is the crew’s recreation

room as well as the general supervisory centre. Here, a comprising monitoring

system is proving the crew with all necessary data while they are keeping in the

background. A bulkhead gateway allows the crew to directly access the engine

compartment, the electric supply control centre and the main garage.

The access to the third and fourth guest cabin is located in the centre of the lower

deck, too.

They are situated face to face with the gym and the sauna facilities where a heat

resistant flat screen TV ensures disport even while sweating healthily.
