Penciled by Luca Vallebona and delivered in 2015, SERENITY may project calm and composure, but the 42m semi-displacement M/Y SERENITY isn’t idle at all. Following her world premiere at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show, this unconventional yacht set off on a 4,500-mile maiden voyage in the Mediterranean, down the Suez Canal, and to Dubai via Oman. Her unique layout and interior design earned M/Y SERENITY a spot among the finalists at the 2016 ShowBoats Design Awards and the World Superyacht Awards. 🌟

CONCEPT 🌍

Luca Vallebona drew the fresh and modern interior and exterior lines of this semi-displacement yacht with innovative styling that conveys a timeless sense of luxury, immune from the influence of fashion, and very focused on enjoyment and the rediscovery of the essence of travel and adventure. 🧳

EXTERIOR 🏝️

From the owner’s brief for great views from his cabin and absolute privacy from the crew, Vallebona worked out an exterior styling with dramatically slanted fashion plates and dark, ribbon-like windows. The whole upper deck is dedicated to the master quarters, including a family lounge that doubles as a cinema room. Outside, guests benefit from a range of options to mingle with family and friends or relax in solitude—from the sundeck with its infinity-style pool clad in shimmering Bisazza blue tiles and large sunbathing area to the owner’s terrace and the main aft deck with its comfortable sofa. Lastly, a huge swim platform allows everyone to enjoy direct contact with the sea. 🌅

INTERIOR 🏡

The interiors follow the same clean design. The master cabin features a split-level suite with a panoramic bedroom on the upper deck and a huge bathroom with a stylish freestanding bathtub, beautiful mosaics, and a marble floor a few steps down. Each of the four stylish guest suites on the below deck has an individual color scheme matched by the bathroom’s onyx basin tops. Elegant fabrics and decorative features, such as the two vertical gardens hanging behind the bed heads in both double and VIP cabins, provide fancy touches. 🎨

TECHNICAL DETAILS ⚙️

Mondomarine’s expertise is most visible in the tidy and expertly arranged engine room, where all machinery and systems are easily accessible. Propelled by twin MTU 12V2000 M72 engines, the all-aluminum SERENITY achieves a top speed of 17.5 knots and, at her eco-speed of 12 knots, provides a remarkable 4,500 nautical mile range. 🛠️
