Hokulani features a planing aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

With her 41,100 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her water tanks store around 5,700 litres of fresh water.
