🚢 Built as Project Vertigo by the renowned Dutch shipyard Feadship, SOPHIA was originally delivered in early 2017 as FAITH. Initially owned by Lawrence Stroll, it was later sold to Michael Latifi, and named after his daughter, Sophia.
✨ SOPHIA offers luxurious accommodations for 18 guests and a crew of 34. The stunning interior design is by Chahan Interior Design, who has also worked on several projects for the owner, including a London property. The yacht’s exterior was crafted by Redman Whitely Dixon (RWD), featuring a glass-bottom swimming pool with a bar underneath, plus storage for a Bell 429 helicopter.
🏊♂️ SOPHIA boasts a 9-meter by 4-meter swimming pool. Powered by two MTU 16v 4000 engines, she reaches a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Her naval architecture was created by De Voogt Naval Architects.
Originally owned by Lawrence Stroll, SOPHIA was sold to Michael Latifi in 2020. Latifi is the Iranian-Canadian businessman and owner of Sofina Foods. He named the yacht after his daughter, Sophia.
SOPHIA is valued at $200 million, with annual running costs ranging from $15-20 million. Yacht prices fluctuate depending on size, luxury, materials, and technology used in construction.
